You're not at every class. See who came, who's new, who's stopped coming, and what each class made, as the door taps it. On your laptop or phone.
Keep your own card terminal. ClassMetrix records the payment. It doesn't process it.
People turn up, pay at the door, and come when they can. Nobody books. So the door often runs on paper, a cash tin and memory.
Know who came and what it made, even when you weren't there. The door checks people in and records cash, card or pass payments; you see every class as it happens, and what it earned after hall hire and teacher pay.
The door does the taps. You get the picture, wherever you are.
Each check-in is also the payment record, so attendance and money can't drift apart. Open it on your laptop or phone, at the class or at home: who came, who's new, who's stopped coming, and what each class made after hall hire and teacher pay.
New students register once by QR code on their own phone, agreeing to your waiver and code of conduct, with an emergency contact. If someone has to be told not to come back, you have the agreement and the record. Parents sign for children. Kept privately, visible to the owner and admins only.
Recorded on the night in seconds. What each person is owed under your pay rule, and what has been paid, so pay and entitlements come from a record, not a memory.
The examples below are sample data from our made-up demo studio. They are not a customer's results. Open the demo to see them working.
The door taps a name, then taps how they paid. That second tap is the check-in and the payment record. The right price is already on the button.
Your card terminal and your cash tin take the money, as they do now. ClassMetrix records who paid, how much and how, so the two can be checked against each other.
See what each class earns after its own costs, how many people it needs to break even, and which regulars have stopped coming.
These are each class's takings minus the costs you enter for it. They are not your full business accounts.

Only what you use. Don't sell passes? Don't pay teachers per class? No cash tin? Switch those parts off and they disappear from the app.
What you do, what we help with, and what stays as it is.
Add your halls, your weekly classes, what they cost to run and your prices. That part takes about ten minutes. Moving an existing student list is a separate job and takes longer.
Students add themselves by scanning your QR code at the door. Already have a list, or passes that are part used? Email us and tell us how you keep them now. We'll help you move the list. Pass balances can be set to match the cards in people's hands.
ClassMetrix doesn't process payments, so there's nothing to connect. Take cash and card the way you do now. The door records which it was. Not sure it fits? Ask us, or book a walkthrough.
ClassMetrix is built for people who just turn up. It leaves some things out on purpose.
ClassMetrix does none of these. If your classes depend on them, booking software will suit you better: see how it compares with Punchpass, Momence, Gymdesk and Mindbody.
Your plan follows the number of classes you run each week. Students, check-ins, staff logins and venues are never counted.
You teach one or two nights a week.
You run a weekly timetable, with teachers and people on the door.
You run several locations and many sessions.
Prices are in Australian dollars, GST included.Prices are in US dollars. The free trial includes everything and needs no card. Nothing is charged automatically.

ClassMetrix is web software for drop-in dance and fitness classes, where people turn up and pay at the door instead of booking ahead. Staff check people in on a phone and record how each person paid; the owner sees what every class earns after hall hire and teacher pay. It records payments but never takes them, and has no bookings. Made by 123teq LLC, built with a Sydney swing-dance school. More questions answered.
Owners of dance schools and drop-in fitness classes where people pay at the door rather than book ahead: the part-time owner with adult classes on weeknights, and the business running sessions all day across several sites. The owner is rarely at every class. It was built alongside a real Sydney swing-dance school.
